The Atari XEGS is Atari Corporation's last 8-bit computer.  Released in 1987, it was marketed as a video game system but the internal architecture was the same that was used in the original Atari 400/800 and later XL and XE-series computers.  The XEGS is effectively an Atari 65XE with a detached keyboard, composite video and audio connectors, and Atari's Missile Command game built-in to ROM.
